I moved from NJ to San Antonio. My 3k square foot home is 1/3 the cost with property taxes 1/3 of jersey. Salaries are less than NY, but I am fortunate my field is pretty stable.

Yeah I'm rural born and bred and likely to stay here but now that the bankruptcy is out of the way, people are moving to Detroit. They don't really do much in the way of nanny government, you can open carry in most places, and your money goes a lot further.
