I used to think to myself why would I want to root for a team that makes you angry?” Christie said.
“The Cowboys were really good,” and Christie became a big fan of quarterback Roger Staubach.

My Mom was always an RS fan; it must have been because of his Republicanism. Mom had good taste. :)
I am pleased to say that RS is tied with Steve Young for 2nd place on my QB list, coming in just behind THE GREATEST QB OF ALL TIME, JOE MONTANA!!!
As predicted, SF will not make the playoffs this year. Looks like my ARZ-SD SB matchup ain’t happening, either. SD is SD and for ARZ, it’s tough to go to the SB with an 8th string QB. But, if there’s a coach that can do it, it’s COACH BRRRRUUUUUCCCCCEEEEEE.
