Sometimes you just can’t bear the pain of seeing children like this. I’ve heard sermons on how G-d supposedly protects the innocent but at seeing things like this I tend to wonder.
Their suffering teaches us what it means to be human. These little ones are usually wise beyond their years. They are actually little gifts.
But you do have to admit it’s hard to come to grips with it. Is it saying we have more sympathy than G-d?

That’s a tough one.
Seeing little ones suffer is beyond my abilities. I can’t stand it.
I have two daughters so maybe that’s is why I respond so viscerally to little girls in distress. It’s a soul hurt.
But, I know that God knows more and He knows better. Maybe these suffering little angels will lose all pain when at last wrapped in His arms, and their eternal bliss will make the present life a forgotten speck in the vastness of their almost unbearable forever happiness.
Without the possibility of suffering, there is no love.
That is the measure of love - how much suffering one is willing to undergo for another human being. The little girl is not the only one suffering; her parents and friends are too. They must have a great deal of love. I only hope I could have that much love to give if it was asked of me.
These little ones need as much love as can be mustered for them. To sit in judgment of God instead of acting as His instrument is a waste of time and effort, in my opinion.
No judgement. Only why.
Maybe God decided He wanted to bring her home early.
Some day we’ll have all the answers.
Until then, we need faith.
Lord Jesus have mercy on this child and her family and friends. Show they the power of your grace and mercy.
Bookmark. Need to pick up a card tomorrow.
“Only why.”
This is indeed difficult, but only because you were created in the image of God. If you and I were animals, even smart ones, we would have no need for fairness, justice, mercy, or love; a perception of cruelty would be impossible for us.
The world is broken and imperfect. What good would a perfect world be for us? Would we learn anything? We would be either animals or gods. And from what I’ve seen from leftists and atheists who either want to be God or think they are already God, they would be a lot more cruel and bestial than the God they think we worship.
You posted this. Keep us updated on this beautiful child.
God doesn’t “supposedly” do anything. Check your training manual.
As I mentioned. I heard a sermon at a friends house where the tel-evangelist mentioned how G-d has a plan for your life and all this G-d doing this and that in your life. And to get your point across there’s no need to be snarky - “check your training manual” before you know what my beliefs are.
Well, when you say God “supposedly” does things, your belief is riding on your sleeve for all to see.
I doesn’t take a theology degree to figure it out.
If I see anything else about her, I'll post it here.
Finally got my card in the mail tonight.
Thank you so much for posting this!
You’re very welcome, and thank you for sending the card.
I sent one signed by my daughter on Monday.
I hope our cards bring a little bit of joy into this little angel’s life.
