Right now, San Diego looks very much like Portland, OR.
Dark and gloomy.

Unlike Portland, it won’t last for 9 months.

Sounds like God has answered some prayers. The Government taketh away but the Lord provides.

Good to hear — California needs the rain. Hopefully the reservoirs will be somewhat replenished and not too much mud slide damage will be done.

Fortunately for SoCal, he causes it to rain on the just and the unjust alike.

California is experiencing a few days of rain!

The obvious solution for this unprecedented calamity is to immediately end Capitalism, dispense with the Constitution, institute martial law, and raise everyone’s taxes by 300%.

I lived in Imperial Beach for 2 years back in the 80’s. It rained ONCE while I was there and my neighbors thought I was nuts, running around outside while it rained on me, LOL!

I have found that I cannot live where there aren’t four distinct seasons. :)

I’m in the middle of CA (Bakersfield). We have one evolving season. I too miss a 4 season locale, but it is 75 here today.

What is unreported is that LAX has to reverse takeoff pattern with planes taking off over the city because surface winds are from the east. Huge delays there, also.

This only happens maybe a day per year, some years never.

Unfortunately, not enough of this system stayed south of the Bay Area -- where it's really needed.

(FWIW...here in the eastern Coachella Valley, we got a weak bladder's drainings worth; nary a drop - just cloudy and gloomy)

Man, that's cruel! Funny and true, but cruel.

I thought California had five seasons.

Rain, Flood, Drought, Fire, and . . . Earthquake.

Some of my best friends live in Portland.
Just a bit too gray for me to live there year round as I get closer to retirement.
