I stand corrected. Two years and they are still stone’s throw from Atlanta. It is becoming more obvious to me the show started there and will end there. TV shows these days never go much longer than seven or eight seasons. Look at Mad Men, Breaking Bad, great shows but the writers just can’t do it much past that.

The difference in Mad Men and Breaking Bad is that they were designed to last a certain amount of episodes. Look it up. Their story arches were specifically numbered.

Shows like TWD usually last until either the lead characters leave for greener pastures causing the show to decline, or they jump the shark.

You can’t compare Mad Men or Breaking Bad to regular programming.

There have been others that went much longer however: M*A*S*H*, CSI, Survivor, Criminal Minds (still going strong), NCIS also going strong. How long did The Waltons last?
