While I agree a spouse would rate higher then a sibling, I still think the writers were lax in making Maggie look like a cold, unfeeling b**ch about her sister! Anything they might attempt to correct about it later will just look like pandering to fan criticism IMO.
That was so difficult to watch Kinney break down on TTD. Losing her job and all the friends she’s made from the cast and crew. Hope she was saving a good chunk of her earnings from the show until she gets a new acting gig - seems like a nice person. But I won’t miss her character...
It was very hard. She just kept breaking down.
Did you see the screen cap that said Beth is in her father’s arms now? I can’t take it...
So true.
She wasn’t a favorite character of mine, either, I admit. I think she just cut an album and is going on tour.
I still love Maggie, LOL.
BTW, not to change the subject, but Tyreese admitted tonight that he DID know he didn’t kill the guy in the cabin, but he left him anyway. I’m so done with him.
d you see the screen cap that said Beth is in her fathers arms now?
That was very touching.
As do many, I miss Herschel.
Agreed.
After wtching TTD, I’m more sad about Emily Kinney losing her job and friends then I am about Beth’s death (as played by Emily).
Never saw the appeal of Beth, every stand-alone episode with her in it were my least favorite eppys, and I felt the character arc the writers tried to force her into (i.e. wimpy girl to strong, kick-a$$ young woman) was unbelievable. Meh, I just didn’t relate to Beth at all.
I’ve never gotten over Hershel.
OMG Tyreese - arrggghhh, YES. I’m glad he did finally admit that he didn’t kill that guy. I kept wondering if:he actually thought he had or if he knew he hadn’t, and didn’t want to admit it. Dude needs to grow a pair like his sister!!
:D
When he came onto the show, he was a strong, capable guy-—an asset to any group. I don’t understand what happened to him.
Yes, for me the sadness at her death had more to do with her being Herschel’s daughter and Maggie’s sister, Glenn’s sil and a long-time friend of Rick, Darryl, Carl, etc... than of the character herself. Although she never did anything *wrong* (besides try to kill herself), her value was in just being the girl next door. Which I guess in an apocalyptic series doesn’t make you the most exciting character, and doesn’t endear you as much to the audience.
Great epitaph for Beth... she’s with her father now.
I hope the actress does well in all her future endeavors :)
Yes. Losing Herschel was devastating (in the sense of a tv series).
Losing Beth is sad, but not as much of a loss. Kwim? I think she was considered expendable. Unfortunately.
May we all never be considered expendable in a TV series (or in life).
Well said.
LOL
Agreed. I wish she could have at least talked to the group and her sister first.
ha.ha.ha. On Talking Dead the writer said he’s STRAIGHT. So there!!!
We never thought he was (except for GrandJediMasterYoda’s teasing)
It hasn't been 5 years on the show. Can't be more than 2 if you consider that Judith is not even a toddler yet. That being said, I can't explain Carl' rapid aging in that theory.
Tyrees can be such a wuss.
Me neither. I don’t know why the others didn’t cry for an hour over losing him!
