HOUSTON,- A Houston-area family rescued a 5-month-old puppy last week, after it spent two months running around the neighborhood with a plastic jug on his head.
"Every night I went to bed thinking about that dog and I really felt bad for him having that on his head," Audra Bohannon, of Northwest Harris County, Texas, told KPRC on Monday.
Bohannon said the stray, thought to be a German Shepard mix, probably stuck his head into a plastic pet feeder in her barn. She and her family spent weeks trying to catch him.
When they finally did, Bohannon and her family cut the jug open with metal shears. She posted video of his rescue on her Facebook page.
Bohannon, who says her brother's family plans to adopt the puppy, named him Bucket. She wrote later on Facebook that Bucket is "so happy."
"It's amazing how this dog had a Bucket on his head for two months and now he's playing like any other dog," she wrote.

Audra Bohannon I took him food in the same spot for two months. It was scraps and canned food. Anything soft. I actually caught him once before and he got away. He was slowly starving but he was eating just enough to live.

What a dumba**, f-ing family to allow the pup to spend two months running around with its head stuck in a jar. They probably thought it was entertaining.
I hope the pup hightails it as far away from these cretins as he can.

The puppy has more sense with or without the jug!

We saw this on the news last night. Lucky pup!
We saved a cat with a glass jar on its head. We saw it on the side of the road and could not figure out what it was so we went back to see. We hit it with a metal tool we had in the car and broke the jar. the cat took off like a rocket.

Me too. I don’t know how the puppy could eat or drink while that jug was around it’s head.
