No, but a very interesting product. I’d like to try it.
How do you just simply drop-in an AR-10 .308cal (7.62x51) upper on to an AR-15’s (5.56/.223) stock lower?
Wouldn’t you need a new buffer tube? Trigger group?
And how do you get an AR-10’s mag box up into a much smaller AR-15’s mag well? None of mine interchange as drop-ins.
Gents from a quick look at the interwebs regards the Bow-Mag it does not look promising. Interesting enough there is not a lot out there regarding the Bow-Mag.
A couple things is it even legal, check with the local DNR to be sure as it could qualify as an “explosive” typ load?
What is going to allow the bullet to gain velocity, eh? 1 site stated that the cartridge holder was ruined with each shot, if that is the case it sounds like an expensive arrow.
But it is an interesting idea. If the round would penetrate a short distance before going off I suppose that could cause enough damage to bring down a deer or wild boar, maybe?
My 2 cents from a keyboard commando:-)

Yea I could see where that would be a problem, sorry but I do not have a lot of expertise on ARs. After the Garand and Thompson (high school) and the M-14 (college) I have not acquired a lot of hands on experience with military small arms.

And on that note I bid you gents a fond farewell.
I have to get some shut eye as I have 12 hours of fun and frivolity tomorrow and Tuesday.

I’d rather use my specialized AR-10 on the deer, and the tricked-out/accessorized Beowulf .50cal on the wild boar.
Sounds like the Bow Mag is a cute novelty, but i it didn’t ‘work as advetised’, you might be trailing that wounded animal for a while, to finish the job.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
The AR-10 lower is different than the AR-15 lower. Colt does make one that will do 5.56 and 7.62x51 but they are the only one that I know of.

Thanks.
That’s what I’m finding out, but I’m still stumped as to how an AR-15 lower can accept AR-10 mag boxes in the AR-15 well. Or do the rounds have to be fed singly. Not even close unless well is modified to shoot AR-10 magged rounds, and the AR-15 mags are heavily modified.
I’ll have to do some research, find one and see it for myself. I’ll never buy one, but it’s got my interest piqued.
A standard AR-15 won’t shoot the .308.
AR 10 will
Didn’t think so. I’m working at the FFL’s loading dock today and tomorrow, so I’ll check his inventory/stock for one of those AR15 conversions. Haven’t seen any come in there yet.
I want a .458SOCOM upper. That would probably mean investing in some reloading equipment though. :)
That’s some very nice hardware. At $2.60+/rnd, it would pay to do that. My old Barrett .50 BMG wasn’t cheap to feed, either, and neither is the Beowulf .50cal. I was lucky I bought a lot, for all 8 calibers I have, in 2003-4-5 when it was fairly inexpensive.
