I don’t think there is a statute of limitations for rape. That said, it will be difficult probably to prove rape after so many years. If these stories are true, it must have been hell for these women to see him not only get away with it, but continues his life as though nothing happened, enjoying fame and fortune. I guess we have no right to expect justice in life, but I’m certain that justice denied after going through something like that is very hard to live with.

This is a warning shot to persons like Dr. Ben Carson, a prospective candidate for the Presidency on the Republican ticket, that deviation from the standard Marxist-Socialist ideal for all people of color is not to be tolerated. Bill Cosby has been calling for personal responsibility within the black community for years now, and Ben Carson is one who succeeded in overcoming his disadvantaged youth.
Not the role model the Marxist-Socialists want held up for the vast number of Americans of African descent. Many of whom, it turns out, are Americans in name only, only called “American” because that was the place of their birth.

SOL in CA for rape is 10 years. There are allegations out there well within that time. Also, may vary by other states from which there are accusations.
While the earlier claims might not be criminally prosecutable, I believe two things do apply:
The women involved can sue in civil court for damages.
The testimony of women making accusations for which the SOL has expired can be used as evidence for a trial in a case for which the SOL has not expired. Shows pattern of behavior.
But I could be wrong about that part.
