In the run up to the recent election, people who refused to vote for the lesser of two evils were attacked by the pro-rino crowd here. Well now that your precious GOPe has won and started their back stabbing, obozo`s amnesty comes to mind, what do you retardicans have to say?
That’s a great idea. Michelle Bachmann advocated for this Dec. 3rd.
So what at least I’m involved in the party changing it from within. What are you actually doing other than complaining and trying to demoralize those if us on the conservative side trying to get something done. EITHER take action, or get out of the way!
IF you are using the word retard to describe what one does too the timing of an engine, I have no problem with it.
When it is used to describe people it is an epithet that is offensive and ignorant.
Yea, you guys keep saying that, and I hear there was even an election recently! So, how`s that take over thingy going? Kinda like that hope and changy thingy? Let us know how that turns out, will ya?
The Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority.
“Retarded” is a descriptive term, like left-handed or red-headed.
Get over it, don’t be a victim of a word.
I will when there is real reistance from some of us, it will be effective. you still haven’t said what YOU will do, and we’re all waiting..
I was part of a group that helped make sure liberal Dewhust(R), the GOP favorite, lost and got sent back home.
Now, Texas has a conservative Governor, and the liberal that the GOP-E loved is looking for a job.

Jam yesterday and jam tomorrow, but no jam today. You guys always have an excuse to support the liberal republican in the general election.

To be completely honest, considering the leftward tilt that ‘the right’ has taken, even here, none of us should be shocked to see the sites closet liberals adopt the language and offense strategies of open liberals.
As I said before I worked in an institution in my younger days. (probably should have checked in knowing how the world eventually turned out). “Retard”, “Retarded” and “Retardation” were DEM/government manyal/teaching curriculum approved/used terminology up to and until liberals used the word to dump thousands of the retarded onto the streets after Willowbrook made Geraldo famous.
Gunner, you are dead on correct. People use all sorts of words to ‘offend’. Words are words. They don’t care, they are simply words. Personally I get offended about the number of liberals bastardizing the word ‘conservative’ to mean ‘Republican RINO/Liberal” But it too is just a word.
Pretty sure Orwell had some good advise, Bradburry as well, about people and words.
OK, so you caught me in a bad metaphor and so what?
To stand in isolation and call down judgment will end up with judgment landing in your lap too.
And the devil dances forever in hell screaming “I damned them! I damned them!”
I’d like to aspire to something better.
Trouble here it is being used not in a scientific sense with IQ tests and the whole panoply of at least attempted objective measurements. It is being used here in shots from the hip to express pique in moral censure.
As a battered plantation dweller, maybe this will appeal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeWjzBHUdsI
The help of the supernatural can be brought to bear. But it needs the right attitude to do it.
I didn't say I don't aspire to anything better, though I did obliquely refer to my own abilities, which are nothing: I'm not a mover, shaker, or leader of any great influence. In fact, it's probably safe to say I'm a bit of a loser
according to the definition of many people — especially since it seems, so far, that failure is the leitmotif of my life.
I have learned that I will not win every battle, but that I definitely have a Power on my side that will win my war, because I surrendered myself to Him.
Failing can be viewed as practice for later success, or it could be a sign of being invested in something God never intended one to be invested in.
Anyhow, if I have a chief failing it is to be a meanaholic. I can positively thrill with meanness that seems to yield to no reason. Well that’s my sin nature and it will never be completely gone till I have exited this mortal coil. But in the meantime (no pun intended) I hate to see others caught in meanaholism. Sometimes it seems to be borne of unrealistic expectations being dashed. We’ve been a bit spoiled by the expectation that gospel ethics will automatically carry the day. No they will not. Efforts are required all around. When we point a finger at our fellow man, three point back at us.
So anyhow, cheer up... we never were supposed to put our hopes in Caesar. We had the good fortune of enhanced versions of Caesar in the past, due to the unique historical legacy of America. Various flavors of Christianity were the glue that put it together. De Tocqueville, for one, bore testimony to the America of his day as having the soul of a church. But as they say, God has no grandchildren. Everyone must believe for himself; the children live or perish based on what they do with their own sins.
Once we lower our expectations of Caesar, then there is room to cheer the work of God from day to day, which is the attitude God wants to see in His children. I see a lot of potential room for evangelism, which won’t be easy but will be worthwhile.
So you’re just going to do nothing, but complain. Then get out of my and others way while we try to save the country.
