MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A 26-year-old Wisconsin woman has been charged with one count of physical abuse of a child — her own 14-month-old son.
The criminal complaint indicates that Jenna Schumacher brought her son to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on November 5th. The child was admitted for chronic ear bleeding and perforated eardrums. Doctors indicated there was “no medical cause” for the ear injuries — and because of that, they were concerned this may be an abuse situation.

I feel like I’ve been reading more and more stories lately about crazy, abusive adults....and more often than not, they kill these poor little kids.
Once you start to devalue human life, it's a slippery slope. I can actually remember as a kid 50+ years ago, every murder was BIG news.
Now they are 20 second items on the local news.

My thinking exactly. I’d recommend a follow-on lobotomy, but I don’t think there’s too much in there to work with.
Children are often the target for child abuse because of hatred of the other parent!

I think it depends on how large your town is. Obviously in Chicago they could do a 2 hr newscast on summer nights just calling the murder roll.
