The Army is moving to discharge a decorated combat pilot who intervened to stop two lesbian officers from showing excessive affection on the dance floor at an official ball at Fort Drum, N.Y.
Lt. Col. Christopher Downey ended up being convicted administratively of assaulting a soldier trying to film the kissing and grabbing. Col. Downeys lawyer, Richard Thompson, says his client merely pushed down the camera to prevent photos that could end up on social media.
Mr. Thompson said Col. Downeys commanding officer also convicted him of violating the regulation that ended the ban on gays openly serving in the military.
That April 14, 2012, night, Col. Downey moved to caution the two lesbian officers, a second lieutenant and a captain, after a warrant officer complained that their prolonged French kissing, grabbing buttocks and disrobing Army jackets violated Army rules against excessive public affection, his lawyer said.
He said the captain, who since has left the Army, complained she and her girlfriend, whom she later married and then divorced, were discriminated against by Col. Downey.

And Rome continues to burn...
General Washington would not be amused.
obama is succeeding in fundamentally destroying America..
I don't want to see Kim Kardashians butt either or Miley's tongue. Some people are just so uncouth!
WTF? Whatever happened to the regulations on PDA’s while in uniform. I would never dare kiss my wife in public while I was in uniform.
This is just so sick on so many levels as to warrant a mega barf.
I couldn’t hold my wife’s hand while in uniform (only properly hooking arms was allowed), so this was DEFINITELY excessive PDA!!
Yeah, lovely. Sicko lesbo officers making a public performance of their perversion. And anyone objecting is in line for punishment. Am I supposed to have the same respect and reverence I once had for the “uniform,” now that the American military has gone full-fledged homo? Because I frankly don’t.
Get yer history straight, Bub. First, they couldn't serve. Then, a law was passed that allowed them to serve if they did so quietly. That law was repealed. It's only by the narrative of Dems and the MSM that the repeal meant full and open participation rather than a return to the long-standing prohibition.
I don't want to see Kim Kardashians butt either...I'm shocked.
“He said the captain, who since has left the Army, complained she and her girlfriend, whom she later married and then divorced, were discriminated against by Col. Downey.”
The calling card of the perpetually offended - these
people are exhausting.
Obama’s Army and the boot lickers who inhabit the highest ranks. Career is more important to them than the well being of the Army and the nation.
Not to mention that commanding officers don’t convict. Judges or court martial panels convict or acquit. The commander just affirms the actions of the court.
That having been said, both of these dykes should have been given Article 15s for conduct unbecoming AND Article 92, Disobedience of a Lawful General Regulation.
This is an Army that still won’t let male officers in uniform carry an umbrella. However, everyone knows homosexuals are a very highly protected class and can get away with far more than most others, unless race is called into the equation.
If a hetero couple can't do it at the affair, then why should a homo couple be allowed to?
Yeah, we are about to get Russian bombers doing beach runs along the gulf coast. In the meantime, our rainbow military engages in twerking on the dance floor.
The standard should be: if the same thing was happening between a male and female officer in public, would the colonel's action be correct? There should be no greater latitude given to a homo couple than a hetero couple.
Talk about a double standard!! Bring back the Tailhook Association.
