Candidates such as out-going Colorado Senator Mark Udall and Iowa Senator-wanna-be-but-defeated Iowa Rep. Bruce Braley, along with other Democratic candidates, ran campaigns based on an extremist pro-abortion position. They were absolutely convinced that the American public would vote for candidates who say its okay to kill helpless, innocent unborn babies at any stage, provided they mischaracterized opposition to this extremism as a war on women.
But they took this charade even further. Pro-abortion figures such as Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards tried to tell voters that female candidates who oppose abortion know nothing about what women really want.
pichillary11Clinton, at a pro-Braley rally, told voters in Iowa, Its not enough to be a woman, you have to be committed to expand rights and opportunities for all women. Because Joni Ernst (who defeated Braley) thinks unborn babies should be protected, she isnt committed to expanding rights and opportunities for women?
Obviously, the voters didnt see Ernst in that light. She won by almost a hundred thousand votes and she is now the pro-life Senator-elect from Iowa.
Pro-abortion advocates like to say abortion is a womans issue, but only pro-abortion women should voice their opinions. Indeed, they come very close to saying it is illegitimate for a woman who is pro-life to speak on abortion. The voices of pro-life women just dont count. The hypocrisy, or should I say the gall, of people who think you have to want to kill unborn children in order to be pro-woman is stunning.

On Tuesday, an 18-year old college student won election to the West Virginia House of Delegates, becoming the youngest legislator in the country. This young woman, Saira Blair, is staunchly pro-life. She defeated a 66-year old incumbent in the Republican primary, then went on to defeat the Democrat nominee, a 44-year old attorney, in the general election.
Many of the comments that appeared in the Wall Street Journal comment section that accompanied its article were rude and derogatory with respect to her age. But others were convinced it was even worse that she is pro-life. Here are some of those comments (the very crudest we omit):
* Its amazing to see such a young person campaign and get elected, but horrible that shes a young woman against womens rights and gun control.
* Fresh out of high school and becoming a state lawmaker is a large feat, but she is running against young womens rights. I only hope she realizes that the Republican party does not have best intentions for her and other women.
* Oh. I thought this was interesting until I saw antiabortion. That is very unfortunate. Its one thing to have a bunch of middle- to older-aged men decide about your reproductive rights as a woman. Quite another an 18-year-old girl.
We already know that Hillary Clinton and Cecile Richards, claiming to speak for women, would not support Miss Blairs election. Im waiting to see if groups like the National Organization for Women will defend a young woman who wants to get into politics.
Since shes pro-life, I wont hold my breath.
Not at all; they just let themselves get organized in many state on November 4. The results for conservatives were bleak in CA, OR, WA, HI, PA, NY, MA, NH, VT, DE, VA, NM, MN, still quite a few loyal "D" places which are unshakeable.
organized should be “out-organized”
Have another Wild Turkey Hill.
Why not just tell women to have their wombs ripped out shrillery? Or I know what would make the cow happy, have boys physically castrated, that would finish what the liberals are doing mentally to our boys and then women(don’t blow up, you know who I’m talking about)could screw their brains out with no worries.
The Me generation is growing old—they are thinking more of grandchildren than abortion. The old War on Women that worked so well—isn’t working now. The Democrats need a new flag to fly.
I guess her daughter is enjoying her new born baby and so is she as a grandmother, HYPOCRITE CRETAN ALERT!
