My weatherman called it an incursion of cold air from the north.

They've always explained it to us by the position of the jet stream. This cold pushes it south.

The other clue to the cold is...."IT'S WINTER"!!!!

I used to hear Kaku on the radio. Fortunately, he’s gone.

He’s supposed to be the smartest man in North America, or something.

I never heard him say anything intelligent.

It's November.
It's going to be cold outside.
It's called "the weather".

They just have a GOD complex, they can’t control the weather so they try to control the people.

The term "bombogenesis" has been used by Boston-area TV meteorologists for decades. It was usually used to describe an Albert Clipper that would move off the New Jersey coast south of New England and "bomb" into a major northeaster that would "clobber" the area with heavy snows.

More often than not, those forecasts would bust but in doing so, they'd sell a lot of milk and bread and would boost the ratings of the local newscasts. Back in the pre-Internet days, when snow was threatening, New Englanders would stay up for the 11pm newscast to see what Bruce Schwoegler, Dick Albert or Harvey Leonard had to say about the "big storm."
