In a recent Democratic National Committee email, actress Scarlett Johansson said if Republicans win control of the Senate they will take away a woman’s right to choose. Johnansson, who has starred in Hollywood hits including Iron Man and Lost in Translation, is no stranger to the pro-abortion movement. In 2008 and 2012, she campaigned for Barack Obama, the most pro-abortion president in U.S. History; and she has repeatedly supported Planned Parenthood.
In fact, in August she designed a t-shirt on behalf of the abortion giant. As LifeNews previously reported, the pink t-shirt read, “Hey Politicians! The 1950s called …” on the front. And on the back, the shirts say: “They want their sexism back!” Text on the left sleeve is signed, “Love Scarlett Johansson.” She also said young women are the key to the mid term elections and it’s more important than ever that young women register to vote and vote for the candidate that will stand up and fight for them.

“Despite the Left’s insistence that abortion is one of the few things women voters care about, the word “abortion” rarely makes it into their campaign ads. The reason abortion supporters call themselves “pro-choice” is that they’d rather not say the word. Abortion isn’t actually as popular as they would have you believe – it doesn’t poll well, and other than the first three months of pregnancy, large majorities of Americans think it should be illegal.
And so it is with a recent Democratic National Committee email sent on behalf of actor Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow from “The Avengers”), which claimed that if the GOP wins control of the Senate, they will take away “a woman’s right to choose.”
The email vaguely describes that choice as the ‘right to make her own personal health care decisions,’ but never says that the only decision they mean is abortion.
Of course, one reason for a lack of healthcare choices that Johansson won’t mention is Obamacare, which dictates what kind of health insurance everyone must have, and even takes away the choice to forgo insurance for those who are young and healthy.
Without the word abortion, this email deceptively accuses the GOP of wanting to take away all women’s choices.”
Johansson’s letter begs the question, since when are all women everywhere pro-abortion? Abortion supporters like Johansson make sweeping generalizations that imply that all young women want to vote for candidates who are pro-abortion. However, the truth is countless women vote pro-life.

Also, as Schow pointed out, most people are pretty uncomfortable with abortion. This is because many citizens in our country take issue with killing a baby in utero. A poll conducted earlier this year by The Polling Company revealed that 58% Americans believe that abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances. The circumstances in which most people believe abortion should be available are in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
In other words, it’s probably safe to say most American’s don’t support abortion for any and all reasons. So of course Planned Parenthood, pro-abortion candidates, and the entire abortion industry leave abortion out of much of their vocabulary; well, that is unless you live in Colorado where Senator Mark Udall has used abortion as a campaign platform. But all you have to do is take a quick look at the polls to see how that’s served him in the midterm elections; yes, that’s right..he’s losing.

The persons who raise the most stridency about the “right to choose” also fail to define what is meant by “choose”.
Choose not to engage in sexual relations at all?
Choose voluntary sterilization?
Choose to use some form of preventing pregnancy?
Choose to terminate a pregnancy because it is “inconvenient”?
Choose to put the child out for adoption?
Choose to cause an early death of this child, because of grievous inadequacies or chronic deficiencies?
Lots of “choices”. All choices have consequences, and one of the most glaring is the some 56 MILLION children who were not born over the past 40 hears. Not only that number, but the next generation that would have been produced by that 56 million gone missing as well, sort of compound interest.
Tactically, perhaps that was a mistake, but there are no do-overs.

What exactly is this obsession by the left with abortion? Is abortion something they do as a regular practice? I would think getting an abortion would be as common as someone deciding to amputate thier leg, but the way they talk you would think women regularly get them once a day.

Hey Scarlett - are you saying women are too stupid to control themselves or to properly use readily available birth control methods? Or, are you saying they are so lazy and incapable that they just use abortion as a way to get rid of the proof that they can’t control their own lives? You can’t have it all - you can’t say women are strong, resourceful, competent and in control, then say they have no ability to prevent pregnancy through normal channels.
Veterans? Which veterans is she talking about? Al Qaeda? Or herself? I don’t think she was ever in the military, she’s another one of those Hollywood brats who got the golden ticket when she was a kid, never had to worry about money, college, serving her country, had her butt kissed her whole life but of course she’s suddenly a Professor of political science and foreign affairs.
