Dog shot dead by SWAT team during alleged dispute over neighborhood dog waste
A small dog was filmed being shot by advancing police officers in Racine, Wisc. on Saturday after police were called about violent threats made by the dog's owner, said a neighbor. Police Chief Art Howell said the owner threatened to kill the officers with an armor-piercing crossbow before setting his dog loose.
A SWAT team sent to handle an alleged neighborhood dispute over dog waste ended up killing the dog, and igniting a firestorm of criticism against the local police force.
In dramatic video capturing the end of Saturday's hours-long standoff involving Racine, Wisc. police, a small dog is seen being shot dead by a line of approaching officers moments after set loose.
Neighbor Kim Polk described the shooting as the result of one irate resident refusing to pick up after his dog when confronted by her, and then violently threatening to kill her own pooch.
It was that threat, first with a bow and arrow and then with a machete, that she said led to her family calling 911 and a SWAT team approaching the man's home.

A couple dozen neighbors needed to all come out at that time and arrest the officers for every charge they could come up with, all with cameras going.

I was thinking what fun it would be to let loose about three fast blasts from a 12 ga. across the street in the side yard out of sight of the cops. Be even better if three or four people did it from different directions. ;-)
“however the swat team responded to a guy threatening to kill people with a machete and a crossbow.
This was notna swat team being sent to handlena dog crap for incident”
Why are you using logic in this police-hate-fest thread?
No hatin' here. Just simple observin'.
Okay, no problem. I get fired up big time over these. If ANYTHING is attacking an officer it/they deserve to get stopped, but these darn senseless dog slaughters.....
Thanks for the direct YT link. The article site wouldn’t cooperate w/ my browser.
Disgusting. Suit up a SWAT team, they don’t feel right returning to squad fer nuthin. Now they can chest thump for having geared up nd killed something.
I was just thinking “I’m not going to watch cause I like my BP nice and low” haha but from what I’m hearing it sounds like these are not real men but scared of their own shadow little mfer’s. You know, to kill a little dog (or is it just anything that moves) because their owner is a nut job...wow.
“This is a symptom of something unspeakably wrong with America.”
You’ve got that right. It’s actually spooky to me. It’s one of several things that has me wondering if we are experiencing a kind of demonic oppression.
Here is a must watch video of the police shooting a dog...
(It’s an old Reno 911 episode)

I think a man is more important than a dog. Nobody wants to spend months suffeting from an infected dog bite.whether its cute or not. Keep your animal under control. My neighbor has a pit bull. If it ever gets loose and comes at me or one of the kids its dead, either by my hands or a cop. I really don’t care.
Cop culture has changed and some, like Mark Levin for example, just don’t see it yet. Thirty years of bad training. . Not an easy thing to fix.
Free Republic Rambo.
When you have a strong urge to shoot someone — but just can’t find the justification to do so — don’t suppress that urge. Suppressed urges are unhealthy. Shoot a dog instead. You’ll feel much better.
So the dog was not the threat.
I don’t hate cops. I hate cops who do bad things.
I don’t hate people, I hate people who do bad things.
Give a cop a sledge hammer to drive in a staple and he will use it.
These SWAT teams are a menace.
