I tried to post this from my new-fangled Windows Phone and it was a bit of a disaster. My son wants me to come down to Pendleton next weekend, so posting next Saturday will be a bit of an adventure. I’ll probably break down and bring the laptop.

I like the chart he showed with spikes in average temps in the 1930’s and how recently, even though there was a spike, it wasn’t close to as high as that in the 30’s.

Take any given weather set up and Joe will pull up every other similar set up from the early 20th century on. His favorite saying is, “There is nothing new under the sun.”

That solar flare last week stirred up our magnetosphere and in turn atmosphere, big line of storm coming next week, might be severe weather on Election day in Kansas.

Thanks for posting!
We woke up here in the sunny Upstate of SC to snow this morning. Since I have to lived here (about 20 years) I have never seen snow this early. It is not even winter yet and the wind today has been gusting to ~26 mph! I expect Joe's prediction of a wetter, colder winter will come through like gangbusters!

It snowed up here in the thumb of michigan too, this A.M. The last time I can recall it snowing this early it was 1991, we got a couple inches on halloween.
