What, he was supposed to end the series at home and be the goat forever? If that was his mindset, then he was a coward.
A perfect relay throw to the plate vs. a pitcher who was near flawless........
I would have waived him home.
Now everybody gets to 2nd guess his cowardice call.

Dont judge the Giants by their home town. The city did not win this but the SF Giants organization from players, coaches, scouting, etc. won this.Believe it or not there are some decent people here too.
Geez.

The Royals played a great series and were a class act of a team. Unfortunately, there was a Giant in their way (Baumgartner is 6'-5," 235). Who throws a 0.26 ERA and wins three games in a World Series? That's Hall of Fame stuff right there. Then there was that unbelievable double play. I think it was at that moment that KC realized this wasn't necessarily in the bag.
The Giants are a great organization, and have great fans no matter what anybody thinks of the City. I love San Francisco, and I sure can't stand the people running it, but that is no reason to disparage the team or its fans. They're a class act too.

The amazing part about this series was the Royals are a better team in almost every category.I was kind of pulling for them because they came from the Tigers division.
Amazing that 2 wild card teams made it to the series to begin with.
Great game & series.

Pence just being Pence. Texas boy who used to play for the Astros. Always came across as someone who suffers from ADD. Think he was just cranked. Good hitter. Never understood why ‘stros got rid of him.

The Royals snicked into the postseason with under 90 wins.

I hate Giant fans; but this group of boys are pretty upstanding; and boy do they dial it up in October!

So did SF. But SF coasted in the latter part of the season on a fantastic first two months. I’d venture to guess they were the worst team in either league in July & August.

Absolutely. Tremendous respect for Frisco, especially after they swept the Tigers in 2012. I really like how Bochy rode the horse Bumgarner to finish out the game. I don’t know if any other manager would have done that. One of my biggest pet peeves is the whole idea of a “setup” man and a “closer”. I’d go with who is hot to finish a game or at a minimum pitch them 1 time through the batting order.

SF doesn’t deserve the team. Sadly, neither does New York.

I guess they are going to win the World Series in 2016 and 2018 as well.
