That would work!
Do not screw with us old men. We know we can not whip you in a fight. We will kill you with a gun.
Hopefully the grand jury can give him a “legal clean bill of health”, insulating him from any wrongful death lawsuits by the family of the decedent.
What no picture of the perp in a communion outfit and the lead line he was a gentle boy who was just turning his life around?
Sheeesh....this happened maybe a mile and a half from where I lived just six months ago. I’m glad the old guy was prepared, and did what needed doing.
That area of Dallas is full of them.
It's a whole different neighborhood just north of 635. I lived there not too long ago.
Protecting another from imminent danger meets the criteria.
Texas law is clear, nothing will happen to this gentleman or his firearm, regardless of the DA.
Good shootin’ Tex
Whenever a shooting happens in the state of Texas, they send it to a grandy jury to see if charges should be filed. Whether its with LEO’s or citizens, its the same. Its crap, any decent sane person could come to that conclusion.
If only you could fit all that in a tagline. Priceless
Or white? What difference, at this point, does it make?
He's dead!
“If only you could fit all that in a tagline. Priceless”
Thanks. The sad thing is that virtually the entire Democrat Party thinks that way, but knows not to say it publicly (at least in mixed company). But inner city Democrat judges simply will not put black criminals in jail, even if they rape and rob 80 year old black women...they equate jail to slavery (i.e., ruining a life that otherwise has so much promise).
You also got me thinking about the term “Common Sense Gun Control”. I think I’ll start a thread about that.
I suppose that what really matters was that the old guy had the resolve and the disposition to use his weapon to effect when it became necessary, unfortunate as the situation was.
Unfortunate for him and his wife, just to be clear about it. So far as the criminal goes, who GAF? He's just gone.
