In tonight’s teaser for next Sunday’s episode, Darryl is seen speaking into the bushes ‘come on out’. Darryl and Carol took off in a car (remember Darryl smashing the taillights out?) to find Beth.
The worrisome thing is ?Sasha? asking ‘where is Carol?’

That’s my worry. If they kill off Carol I am going to be pissed.I am 90% sure she will die this season. Her character arc finished the first episode this season.

The virus is a nanovirus that creates a teeny tiny thermonuclear reactor in the walker's head. That generates the power the body needs to reanimate, and that's why a stab or blunt trauma to the head deanimates the walker. It destabilizes the microreactor. The reason that a bite kills is that the walker emits nuclear waste via the mouth, which poisons the person. It's all quite simple and obvious.
Really, a little surprised you didn't figure it out for yourself.

They can find a mountain-top house, be together peacefully.
