The World Trade Organization has rejected U.S. rules requiring labels on packaged steaks, ribs and other cuts of meat identifying where the animals were born, raised and slaughtered.
In a ruling Monday, the WTO said the requirements put Canadian and Mexican livestock at an unfair disadvantage.

The truth is unfair.
Personally I don’t think it would hurt Canadian producers at all. I have no problem buying meat from Canada. Mexico is a different matter.
If there is no country of origin listed on the food, I do not buy it. I don't buy food from places like China, Vietnam or Thailand.
No problem with beef from Canada, if Canada will finish getting the U.K. boss off its back (mad cows from the U.K.—expensive and crazy way to pretend that one is a Limey).
If the truth is unfair, that makes lies fair. But lies are foul.
And lies about fowl are even fouler.
