My wife is an optician and manager, so we've been to that plant.

If I had been kissing a woman who came down with Ebola, I would be feeling sick, too. I hope that this has been caught early and these people will be OK.

Those tweets are unclear, just because he’s been quarantined doesn’t mean he is sick. I’ll wait for confirmation.

Let’s hope the boyfriend was a recluse and not a close-talking Wal-Mart greeter.

What is Johnson's source for this? Other articles tell a different story:
This measure was taken due to the fact that the associate was in contact with the Texas Health Presbyterian health care worker who has recently tested positive for the virus, according to a statement from Alcon.
Our thoughts are with our co-worker and their friends and family, the emailed statement said.
The Alcon worker has not shown any symptoms and should not pose any risk for Alcon employees, the statement said.

Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

He had already been admitted for “monitoring” so now they’re admitting he’s showing symptoms. Not good, not good at all. No wonder Dallas is scrambling to make room for more. Prayers for both of them and their little dog.
Just great. He drove to work every day to Ft. Worth so now his coworkers and families there are scared out of their minds. How many places has he gone to lunch in Ft. Worth and pumped gas or stopped at Walmart for a warm brown blanket?
I heard the restaurant “Dr.” Nancy Snyderman and crew slipped out to has lost it’s customers. Way to go, Nan.

Now, it is hitting too close to home, so to speak. My niece works at Alcon in south Ft. Worth.
