FULL TITLE: Girl Scout membership plummets for second straight year losing more than 100,000 members

For the second straight year, youth and adult membership in the Girl Scouts has dropped sharply, intensifying pressure on the 102-year-old youth organization to find ways of reversing the trend.

According to figures provided to The Associated Press, the total of youth members and adult volunteers dropped by 6 per cent over the past year — from 2,994,844 to 2,813,997.

Over two years, total membership is down 11.6 per cent, and it has fallen 27 per cent from a peak of more than 3.8 million in 2003.

Actually, a lot of schools are also reporting a decline in sports participation.

The real problem is the incredible number of kids being raised in single parent households. It was Mom AND Dad that tended to push kids towards wholesome activities. Now a huge percentage of the kids are actually being raised by secular humanist liberal school teachers, the Internet, M-TV, and other assorted filth.

That also has a lot to do with how once great organizations like the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are taken over by a relatively few members of the lunatic fringe. Because so many of the parents are no longer participating, even a small amount of trash can have a major impact.

The Girl Scouts have stopped investing in scouting (woodcraft, horsemanship, etc). Now it is all about girl power, expressing yourself, learning about tolerance and getting along. Basically it is a leftist (militant feminazi and rainbow mafia) propaganda organization.
