I’ve been abstinent for a decade and I am thankful for it. A cold bed is sometimes better than a romp and then a fever that signals the setting in of an STD. Or being used and then dumped. Men dump women they sleep with just as much as they do with the ones they don’t sleep with.
I see all around me the effects of the sex crazed culture and I thank God regularly that I have only one real regret. That was my ex-boyfriend and I dropped him in the late summer of 2004. I’ve changed and evolved and gone way beyond my expectations. All without a divorce and no kids and no major anchors keeping me attached to an unhappy past.
As for sex, porn, women need to become realists about the nature of men, the unpleasant side. Men need to get it into their thick skulls that women who do ANYTHING are the types that are dangerous. Teach them about Jodi Arias. Teach them about the stuff Jodi did for Travis Alexander and what happened to Travis as a result of diddling a crazy woman.
What you both said is true: Most men today dump women who refuse to sleep with them. But, they’ll dump those women, anyway, eventually.
I just want to add: I noticed that many women today have the same mindset as the men. Based on this young actress’s comments, my guess is that she’s one of those women. To them, “dating” means literally sleeping around, not just going to a movie theater or a restaurant. Those of us who think differently are considered old-fashioned and kind of strange. (That’s what I’m hearing from people in the dating world today, anyway.)
BTW, it’s a great feeling being dumped for refusing. It’s really a validation that you made the right decision.
