A Nebraska school district has instructed its teachers to stop referring to students by gendered expressions such as boys and girls, and use gender inclusive ones such as purple penguins instead.
Dont use phrases such as boys and girls, you guys, ladies and gentlemen, and similarly gendered expressions to get kids attention, instructs a training document given to middle-school teachers at the Lincoln Public Schools.
Create classroom names and then ask all of the purple penguins to meet on the rug, it advises.
The document also warns against asking students to line up as boys or girls, and suggests asking them to line up by whether they prefer skateboards or bikes / milk or juice / dogs or cats / summer or winter / talking or listening.
Always ask yourself . . . Will this configuration create a gendered space? the document says.
The instructions were part of a list called 12 steps on the way to gender inclusiveness developed by Gender Spectrum, an organization that provides education, training and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for children of all ages.

Remarkable. How can he tie his shoes or walk across the street if his mind is always full of PC crap like this?
The first thing on the Supers agenda usually is promoting Common Corpse, Block Scheduling, and the beloved year around day care program called Year Around School. Oh I forgot the insane Pre-K program. Separate kittens or puppies too early and your a villian. Separate a child {Toddler barely walking through 5 yrs old} from parents and it's called educational enlightenment.
The elementary schools I attended had no Kindergarten. First - third grade went home at 1:30. Fourth -eighth went home at 2:30 daily. High school went till 3:15. Kids were waiting on school buses in actual daylight and even high schoolers were home by 4:30. We were taught by teachers, we retained what we were taught, we finished text books by mid May, and we still had lots of time for recess. Today kids ride up to an hour and a half in some cases one way to mega/consolidated schools.
Katherine Timpf needs to channel some Ross Perot here.
Surely whoever approved and ordered this bs has a name.
The irresponsible parties must be named publicly and held to account. Letting them hide is a big mistake.
Parents need to jam their elected school board members with the following questions:
Is it the policy of the elected school board that children should be disengendered? Was that debated at an official board meeting? When? Who voted for approval and who opposed? In what way is gender confusion helpful to children? Based on what evidence? Why harm over 99% of children for the presumed “benefit” of the less than 1% transsexuals? Will you personally work to end this ridiculous policy? What steps will you take and when?
Sounds like a good DirectTV ad.
And we are always hearing some one whining and asking : why does there have to be war?
That garbage is enough to make any one ready to fight.
Perfect time to beat the living sh-t out of whoever thought this up and implemented it.
This is what happens when you negotiate with evil... When we lay aside our principles and allow the Godless and queers to takeover the care and feeding of our children....well, we get exactly what we deserve....
“Perfect time to beat the living sh-t out of whoever thought this up and implemented it.
Exactly.”
But no one will. And so it continues...
Teachers are public servants, they will do as instructed just as will the police or any other professional who went to college to learn to become any thing from a flagman to an accountant for the Government.
If this abomination is to change, the voters will have to change it, but most likely people will keep on voting the way they have been and it will keep getting worse, if possible.
What if you feel like you are more of a pink Penguin? :-)
I got involved in one of these gender complaints once when I was co-teaching a college freshman English course with a Lesbian wymen’s rights activist.
She filed a complaint with the English department because at the opening session of the course, I made some statement that used the phrase ‘boys and girls’. She didn’t complain about the ‘boys’ reference, but told the head of the department that the use of the word ‘girls’ was misogynist and showed my male chauvinism.
Needless to say, the class was split and we didn’t teach together thereafter.
*oddly-colored.
