In my Roman Catholic upbringing, through 12 years of Catholic school, we were taught he was infallible in ways of the church, not in all things period. Again, I see a lot of conflict with all previous RC church teaching and what he seems to espouse.
I know the basic concept and Fr. Brian has espoused on it and I realized it’s more complicated than I thought. I may just sit down with him and share my concerns and see what he says. Not in RCIA class, though. Don’t want to undermine the church with the students.
The mothers in my Mother’s Prayer group just rave about how wonderful Pope Francis is, I shudder when they do that. Was the same way with our former Bishop. Fr. Brian was delighted with our new Bishop, so he might be pretty candid with me about the current Pope.
