Speaking of news, there will be
a partial solar eclipse tomorrow; in the afternoon for west coasties, and after five for us on the East Coast.
Do not look at the Sun!
Instead, do what I did in the late sixties. Find a park, with some trees to cast dappled sunlight on the ground. All of the dapples will be small crescent shapes!
It's an amazing thing to witness.
You can also reflect a tiny mirror image onto a large wall and see the sun's occluded image in the reflection. Tape the mirror in position to stabilize it, and enjoy the show!
But don't look at the sun! Your eyes are not ants, to be tortured that way.

Only you would have thought of this!

..here will be a partial solar eclipse tomorrow...But don't look at the sun!Well it's now the tomorrow of yesterday and just to be contrary, I went out side and tried to look at the sun.
But every time I looked up at the sky drops of water hit me in the face...
..not to mention all other exposed areas and clothing.
Probably an omen or something.
Or else it's just raining.
