Excellent news. When do you get to go home and stay home?
You might remember back about four months ago we had three black kitties in the barnremnant.. Well, The Copy is the mother. Who is a copy of her mother (who has been dubbed 'Smokey' because she's gray - like smoke) who is also the mother of Jinx and Smudge. (You know, the feral female who only had one kitten at a time and who we have not been successful in transporting to the rework-her-plumbing-place..)
Anyway, it seems that The Copy liked being fed. And when the weather got more adversely affected by glowbull warmthing such that it got cold, The Copy decided that it wasn't such a bad idea to eat on the inside side of the door. And eventually instead of needing to be coaxed inside with a plate of yummy-yummy cat food, she would come to the door and wait to be noticed and let in to enjoy her feast.
Now she doesn't wait, she comes to the door and yowels . And instead of wanting to flee to the outsideside of the door right after consuming the yummy-yummy, she has decided that claiming a bedplace is only right..
Thus she has now claimed a laundry basket as her home. On top of the shelf. Next to the dryer. How Mrs. NoC is going to reclaim the stuff she has padded her nest with is not in my job description...
So, this is The Copy, an almost domesticated feral feline who likes her creature comforts...
Don't tell her that if she continues to stay inside her childbearing years are endangered...
After my doctor’s appointment and a pre-op blood draw, I will go home and spend the rest of the week. I won’t need to come here again until next week, when I need to do laundry again. I only have enough gas in the truck for one more trip after today, anyway.
Shawn is due in tomorrow, and that will be good, as it has been a month since he has been in to clean. And what a month it has been.
