I think she’s doing very well, for such a short time. She’s not terrified or hostile, just very cautious. It may be as little as another week before she’s all settled in.

Have you given her a ball of paper to play with?

She is too afraid to play. When I don’t hold her she sleeps, unless it is dark in the bedroom, and then she wants to eat and sharpen her claws. I hope she notices the toy, and the wet food. She didn’t eat at all the first day, but drank a little (a LOT judging by my bedding!) but her food bowl was almost empty today, so I tossed the stale stuff and gave her new, fresh water and a spoonful of wet.

I don’t want to make her sick. The last thing I need is a cat with bowel problems...
