I’m so glad his help is substantial! LOL!
Enjoy the dinner!
We had a nice dinner. Mom and I had the salmon. She has gone over to meet the overnight aide, and I came back to the apartment to feed the cat. She’ll call me if she needs backup.
We went out to lunch (Chinese) and then to her Weight Watchers meeting. She’d lost 3 lbs. Then we went to an upscale consignment store, where she bought a jacket. I heard one of the managers telling a consignor, “We’ll only take jeans if they retailed for at least $100.” This ain’t no Salvation Army store, hon. I didn’t find anything there.
Then we went to the Hospice Thrift Store, where she bought me a nice black dress with a small floral pattern and a cool beaded neckline for $18. I can wear it to church, because it has a neckline like a crew-neck t-shirt and real short sleeves, unlike my Salvation Army one that’s sleeveless and rather plunging.
Good thing I couldn’t find Pat’s little NRA satchel when I was packing, because I’m going to need the extra space in my bag. She also has a Hello Kitty sleeper and robe for Kathleen, whose Hallowe’en pajamas won’t be warm enough most of the winter.
