On another note, about two hours ago a friend dropped off a bunch of computer stuff of various vintages. In the pile were two lcd monitors, three tower cases (one of which has been scavenged), a Logitech quad speaker system w/subwoofer, a HP printer/scanner (with no power supply), and a slew of cables.

I figure I'll look them over, fix what I can and then scavenge and trash what I can't..

One of the units is fairly new - a quad core i5 w/Win7... The other two seem to be old single core units but I haven't looked them over yet. Hopefully whoever owned these things made it easy for me by not password protecting their windoze startup.. ;-)

I gots me some fixit projectks... ;-)

Easiest fix in the list is the HP printer. Heck, even I probably have a power supply that would work for it.
