The Flying Castle habitat was the last to celebrate the New Year’s arrival. It was preceded by Habs A and B, eight hours apart for each.

Anyone who celebrated all three festivities is allowed to sleep as long as they want.

Did you notice? The folks on Mars celebrated New Year’s on the Earth calendar, but based on local Midnight. I guess it makes sense if you’re a Martian.

I wonder what they’re going to do on Venus when they want to celebrate New Year’s? Celebrating it by sleeping makes a lot of sense in that context.
