Read the article. The photos in question were stored on her phone and stolen through the cloud. Which means they were taken from her oersonal property.

You are correct though it would seem she took the photos to share with someone. If so you can never trust the second person to keep your secret forever.

In any event yes her privacy was violated and it’s evil, There may also be some ambiguity to the situation where she has now decided to represent herself as a victim, for which she will be heartily commended because there is no shame any longer.

She owns the storage array where they were stored? It resides in her house? If not, she is at fault for this situation. Yes, someone hacked a server somewhere and accessed its storage. A crime.

But if she had used her phone to take pictures of puppies and kittens there would be no hullabaloo. Perhaps she should have thought a little further than her nose and used a good old fashioned camera. Even a digital one would have been a better choice than her phone. She is a Techno Dunce and is paying the price for her ignorance. Boo hoo.
