Far more deadly than Ebola.

Looks like the Supreme Court needs some law books and someone to explain to them what we the people means.

Then, pretty soon I should have a constitutional right to marry more than ONE person!

Let my tell you why this is a complete and utter defeat on this issue.

Four Justices in our “conservative” SCOTUS did NOT vote to take these up. They permitted the Circuit Court decisions to stand. Think about that. Not even four wanted to overturn the Circuits. ALL they are doing is just biding their time as they do when there is a big societal shift taking place on an issue.

IF any of the Circuits remaining uphold any State restriction on gay “marriage” then they will eventually resolve it. And be assured there is no chance in the world they will uphold such a decision. Just not taking these cases sends a signal to the remaining Courts. And even if a Circuit panel upholds any State, it won’t be upheld en banc.

The only thing SCOTUS may take, and probably will, is a Full Faith and Credit argument. That too won’t end well for us.

This issue is lost. America is in decline. We are the ONLY demographic that wants to prohibit gay “marriage”. Yeah, blacks kinda don’t like it but it is in huge flux with them.

And as we die off. There is nothing to replace us. Quite frankly, it is like that on just about every single conservative issue

I didn’t need to wake up to this. This is really about 10 times worse than you think it is.

Stop trusting in man,
who has but a breath in his nostrils.
Of what account is he?

The corporatist culture, to which the Supreme
Court belongs, wants the youth to think that
the litmus test for behavior is that it makes
them feel good.

Anybody who wants to sacrifice — for his spouse,
family, country, God — is an idiot. And anybody
who doesn’t use feelings for the standard of right
and wrong is “a hater.”

It’s deeply embedded in the culture now, and later
our kids’ kids will wonder why we didn’t want
to have as much fun as they are having...

shhh! ...except they will all be miserable!

What if STRAIGHT men married each other for the tax breaks and still had girl friends on the side?

Say what they want, but homo “marriage” is still just an imitation of the real thing.

This is a states’ rights case. Only states can issue marriage license, not the federal government.

This is not the worst outcome. Had the SC accepted the case and found there was no way to limit gay marriage under the equal protection clause, that would have been the end, as that would establish a national precedent.

Instead, while the gay marriage advocates will declare victory, the battle will go on in lower courts and at the state level.

Unless there is a clear constitutional reason for the SCOTUS to say otherwise, the conservative position ought to favor less national control and greater autonomy at the state and local level.

It’s spreading like Ebola.

I know this is a serious subject, but I had a good chuckle on your post.

I pray the end comes quickly. Our Savior cannot return quickly enough. Hell, I would settle for a planet-killing asteroid to collide with us at this rate. I have lost all faith in humanity...

Thanks, Justice Kennedy.

Wish the Republicans would have had the testicular fortitude to stand by Bork. Had they done so, we wouldn't be dealing with this now.

Hell, this might not be such a BAD thing....How about we use the same logic to repeal the licensing of lawyers (the bar), or physicians, etc. Or, gasp, the 2nd Amendment

I mean, the logic is SOUND, right?!
