Freeper Gefn is in the ER with possibly failing kidneys. She contacted me to ask for your prayers. She'd also appreciate it if you'd post any favorite LOLcritters you might have - she's alone and scared and in a lot of pain, and she really loves them.
You’re very welcome, and +1 on that advice.
I’m so glad that you are home. Sorry to hear that you have developed pneumonia though. I will continue to pray for your complete recovery. Try not to get frustrated if your improvement isn’t as fast as you think it should be. I felt that way after my abdominal surgery, but finally realized that everyone’s healing process is different, and to just take each day as it comes. Things will get better. Take care, and keep us posted on your recovery.
LOL! Not laughing at you, just thinking about my cats and how they would be following, swatting at the extension cord.
A favorite game is tying one of their catnip mice or a tinfoil ball to a long string and dragging it around for them to chase.
My kitty went to the Rainbow Bridge this past New Year’s Eve. I’m actually glad I don’t have one right now, but that is the thing that is keeping me going, when I get better I shall adopt a cat.
My prayers for complete healing continue. God bless.
PTL you’re at least well enough to be out of hospital! Wish I lived near you, I’d be helping all I can. Do you have relatives nearby who you could recuperate with? Anyone in your church? Neighbors? I’ll keep you in my prayers, dear lady.
Do you, by any chance, have Meals on Wheels in your area? If not, maybe you could contact a church, or perhaps a neighbor, to see if they could help you out?
Continued prayers for your swift recovery . God Bless you.
I’m looking into meals on wheels. Around here you have to be 55 or older.
My mom drops off groceries but she’s elderly and taking care of my father who is dying. I was helping her with my dad before I got sick.
Mom can drop ten items or less, but can’t do a real good shop.
Thank you.
Watch out for the Advair...it can give you thrush in the back of your mouth and throat. Try to gargle and rinse real good after every use.
I have parents who live two miles away but my dad is dying and my doctor will not let me near my father should I have an infection or cold. It’s the right thing but I may not see my dad again which is tearing me up inside,
My neighbors are nice but I don’t know them, other to make simple conversations with. Most commute to either NYC or Philly, or stay here for a couple of years when they are young and first married to save up for a town home. My friends from college all have small children now which occupy their time, and I’m not allowed near them for the same reason I can’t go near my dad.
It’s so good to hear from you! I’ve been wondering about you.
Gefn, hang in there, sweetie. You’ve been through a mess, but every day brings you closer to being well. Keep us updated on what the doctors say. I’ll keep praying.
I need to find some kitties for you...
(Thanks, Slings)

Prayer warrior ping...please pray for the issues mentioned in post 216.
Gefn...Did you have a church before you fell ill? If so, contact your pastor or his wife...or the leader of your bible study group and let them know of your troubles. They might be willing to coordinate a schedule where one family will bring you meals for one day and then another will do the next day and so on...they can help with shopping and take some of the stress of your mother’s shoulders. If you are willing, please mention where you are so the prayer warriors might be able to help with some ideas or contacts. Check with Catholic Charities, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, United Way, Salvation Army..etc... You never know who will be your angel!

Kitties are so nice.....
That is a beautiful prayer.

I don’t belong to a church at the moment. I did but the clergyman I liked left it and I had been looking for a new one,
