I used to dislike that red stuff, but I’ve slowly gotten quite fond of it. Split is about 50/50 now.

Say it ain't so!! I LOVE Manhanttan Clam Chowder!! Please Someone - post a good recipe for me (can't cook - but would try this!)

My problem with 'typical' New England Clam Chowder is it's way too creamy with more potatoes than clams.

But, given that - the BEST New England I ever had was on Block Island back in the 80's. Stayed at The Smith House (I think that was the name). The chef made it so delicious - not as much cream - and had Sherry in it. Yum Yum!
