SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- It was a long night for the Eagles, who had to endure numerous fire alarms going off in their Bay Area hotel early Sunday morning.
Long-time Eagles radio play-by-play voice Merrill Reese said the first alarm at the Santa Clara Hyatt rang at about 2 a.m.
Reese said the Eagles contingent was staying on the upper floors at the hotel and had to use the stairs to go downstairs and outside while the alarm was investigated.
He said after about half an hour, everybody was cleared to return to their rooms, but once they did, another alarm went off.

the Eagles the band? or the Philadelphia Eagles?
The source is from Philly so probably the football team.
Obviously a 49er fan I hope the Eagles play is not affected .
then i am interested and will read the article... thanks :)
welcome to the Hotel California (ok somebody had to say it first)
The Philadelphia Eagles they are in SanFrancisco this week.
Ask any airline crew about how many times this has happened to them Especially on short lay overs. Its par for the course.

Good one! :-)
.
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
Eagles the band was my first thought.
Smells like a 49er’s prank.
Excellent
Hotel California
Yay, keep ‘em up all night! I hope right after the fire department left and they all were tucked into their beds and drifting off to dreamland, the sprinklers came on, though I don’t have a dog in this fight. ;-)

Maybe they were trying to check out any time they liked, but realized they couldn’t leave!
LOL!
That many doobies will do that!!
We had the same thing happen to us in Las Vegas 2 years ago. We were on the 11th floor and had to walk down. the crowding in the stairwell was terrible. If there had been a whiff of smoke I would have freaked out. They said all was clear and we took the elevator back up. In a half an hour the fire alarm went off again. We considered staying in our room but then decided to walk down again. Another false alarm.
I thought it was probably pot smoke.
yes--now i am interested in reading the article, as i am a NINER fan...
this happened to us once when we were staying in Reno... no fire... it was annoying... perhaps this was a prank by a fan... or not...
