Holy cow! After the football game, FOX showed a preview of their new sitcom "Mulaney" ... named for the stand-up comic who stars. Never have I seen this kind of preview that had not ONE laugh. Not ONE. And the set-up is a blatant "Seinfeld" rip-off. Completely fake interaction amongst the characters. WHAT a disaster. Very sorry Martin Short is peripherally involved here. HE's the real deal. This show looks bad on so many levels.
Your take? I’m still stunned from the unfunny.
I never watch American TV any more.
I did start to turn on a football game the other day but Tampa Bay was losing 28-0 at the start of the second quarter... why did they bother to show up?
Pathetic. I didn’t watch long.
I’d much rather find something online, foreign TV shows and the like.
They could have ripped “Seinfeld” off worse by calling it “Mulva”

Try out watching some anime. It’s not all for kids.
Its remarkable the way certain sitcoms just gel, the characters blend well and some of these shows will go on for a decade. Others are here and gone and most of us never even heard of them.
Good writing is key and probably almost a miracle when you get the right team.
For me, I almost never watch anything on network TV, haven’t in years. Not that the stuff I watch is that high-brow or anything, just that what passes for sitcoms for the most part just goes right past me.
I don’t watch porn, even animated porn. I avoid stuff from Pervert Nation
I would never have noticed this thing except I left FOX on after the football game. Their after-football preview — obviously their big moment to get an audience for the show — is just AMAZINGLY bad. Still shaking my head. NO laughs. Zero. And the complete “Seinfeld” ripoff is insulting.
Always thought Seinfeld was unfunny, so any show that emulates Seinfeld wouldn’t be worth my time.
Well I’m relieved that others have this reaction. From the very first commercial they ran about this show, I felt this way. I had absolutely zero desire to watch it after seeing their promos a couple months ago.
Anime is Japanese animation... it’s not all hentai.
This one is one of my favorites:

There’s lots of humor, along with some sad parts. It’s an overall very good show.
I don’t know why you think all anime is hentai.
Pick up “Breaking Bad.” Without having to wathc commercials. It’s actually a decent show that isn’t preachy but it’s engaging.
I have no desire to watch someone making and selling drugs
I don’t watch them either, see my #8 ... But this promo came on the SECOND the football game ended and I was instantly gripped by the fact that this was a promo for a Seinfeld-ripoff “comedy” show that had not just unfunny, but AMAZINGLY unfunny jokes.
I didn’t say it was all hentai. Even a lot of the non-Hentai is very suggestive and sexual - even if they don’t “show anything”
It’s OK, GeronL only watches The 700 Club and Lawrence Welk all day, every day. ;-D
I watch a lot of Korean and Taiwan shows online, sometimes from other countries. I kind of like Dr. Who but watch it online without ads.

It’s great-—and doesn’t glamorize drugs. There is an ugly world out there and this shows it.
I hate drugs, murder, and robberies, but have seen great films on those topics.
.
Those might be romance, which I’m not into. But there’s lots where both sexes get confused and frustrated, and it’s written in a comedic way which makes it pretty funny.
I saw the commercials, too, and my thought was, "Surely, they must have better jokes than that!" Now I've seen the promo and, no, they completely don't! I'm still more than a little stunned. I know Seinfeld and Larry David have great lawyers. They need to hit the ground running Monday. Wow.
