Puffy pedant Neil deGrasse Tyson is enduring a meteor shower of criticism over his totally unscientific obsession with how stupid everyone is. Most notably, from The Federalist, which first published, Another Day, Another Quote Fabricated by Neil deGrasse Tyson and followed it up with, Did Neil deGrasse Tyson Just Try to Justify Blatant Quote Fabrication. Turns out, Neil is a complete d*****. I told ya so.
I was first annoyed by his fans in the spring of this year. To hear Chris Hardwick slobber all over the guy and talk about his presence, youd think he was describing a deity. When Chris Hayes interviewed him, I became concerned the MSNBC host was going to e********. Hayes laugh was so sycophantic, it screamed, Hooray, I found a black nerd! This cloying is particularly annoying because its racist. Loving a guy just because hes black is just as prejudiced as hating him just because hes black. Its ironic we have a president elected on a platform of ending racism when the reason he got elected is based largely on the fact that hes black.
Then you start checking out the guy himself. Cosmos is a pretty cool show but wasnt it handed to him on a silver platter? Its not a reboot of the Carl Sagan version. Its a complete duplicate. All right, theres nothing wrong with that unless, of course, you want to be a patronizing d*weed who laughs at how stupid Christians are and complains about his horrible life under the specter of racism.
Tyson loves to talk about how hard it was being a smart black man but he grew up middle class in a big house with a loving, intellectual family and a dad who stuck around. Combine that with a high IQ and its tough to fail. Instead of thanking the universe for his statistically improbably luck, we have to hear about all the suffering he endured.
Oooh, he was followed around in a store because someone thought he was a shoplifter. Poor baby. Thats basically what punk rockers go through. Besides, he looked like he was in The Warriors back then and NYC was a f*ing war zone. Not being suspicious of anyone who remotely fit the bill was a one-way ticket to bankruptcy. If hes so determined to drag race into stories of his success, he should have talked about the troubles with single-parent families in the black community. Neil Tyson grew up with a dad. Mike Tyson did not.
When I brought all this up on Fox News and said, White liberal nerds love this guy so much, he could * on them like Martin Bashir's fantasies and they would dance in the streets, Media Matters called it a Race-Based attack. The Young Turks called me Foxs house racist and I got kicked off Facebook. Some dude I was working on a show with, quit. It was insane. According to liberals such as Bill Maher, conservatives hate deGrasse Tyson because hes black (no word yet on how the right is able to swallow its hatred for retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson). As I retreated back to my cave, I grunted to the mob that they would soon see the light. Theyd learn Tyson is a bloviating windbag and his fans are even worse.
Soon after, National Review ran a scathing indictment of the cult of Neil deGrasse Tyson entitled Smarter Than Thou. Then we learn pajama boys were congregating at The Museum of Natural History to cuddle up in their sleeping bags and listen to Tysons voice lull them to sleep. Ew.
Which brings us to the meteor shower of today. While scoffing at how idiotic everyone was, he decided it would be easier to fabricate idiots to laugh at. A newspaper said half the schools are below average even though it didnt. A politician said he had made a 360 degree turn but he didnt. And a judge kicked Tyson out of court for pointing out 1,700 milligrams is just 1.7 grams, which also never happened. Is there an astrophysicist in the universe this adept at creating straw men?
It feels good to be vindicated. If he had just stuck to science and resisted the inebriation of adulation from his racist fans, nobody would have noticed what a d***** he is. Unfortunately, when you sit on your high horse and call us all idiots, at least one of us is going to look into it. Turns out were not so dumb. Can I get my Facebook back now?

Used to like him before I saw his extreme left leaning rehash of the Cosmos series. What a jerk.
Fake science is fake science. I love how this guy is so certain about how the universe works. It sickens me. Instead of saying “This is probably how this works”, he and many others say “THIS IS HOW IT WORKS AND ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE WITH GREAT EVIDENCE AND RESEARCH IS WRONG”.
The arrogance of men like neil degrasse tyson sickens me. So certain they are of their conclusions, they can’t be wrong. It’s just like it’s always been though. Galileo and Newton. Shunned, exiled, persecuted because they dare challenge the majority and their arrogance.
Anytime I hear a scientist say “without a doubt, this is how x works” I just chuckle to myself and think *you don’t know shit*. We don’t even know why mass causes gravity. Or why my table and all the particles in it stay together. Fools, all of them.
Neil deEndjustfiesthemeans Tyson is just another lying tool. The hipster atheist nerds like the guy however so I guess that means he should never be questioned (Can play the race card too).
Voting for someone because of race is just as racist as voting against someone because of race.
I didn’t know any of this. I’ve enjoyed watching Tyson’s programs and have found him to be a pleasant, intelligent fellow. I hope that’s what he is.
He has an enthusiasm which is excellent for science education but unfortunately there’s been a cult of personality that sprung up around him which has blinded him to his errors.
The show Cosmos kinda highlighted his shortcomings when it took a propaganda turn. The worst being devoting a quarter of the first show to a non-scientist just to dig at the church.
The Truth Revolt website article link set off my anti-virus program something fierce, btw.
I missed those episodes—fortunately.
I never did like him. From the first time I heard him, he grated on me. My BS detector pegged the needle.
Try reasons.org and reasonablefaith.org for true scientific discussion. Dr. Hugh Ross is a scientist of first order and Dr. William Craig is a philosopher and theologian of first order. A little review of their view of the cosmos will change your opinion of pedantic prigs such as Tyson. When you hear something like "it is obvious to the casual observer that..." you a dealing with questionable information and its purveyors.
This guy is a white liberal's dream come true!
