"Bloomberg is worth $33 billion, but if that’s not enough, Gates is worth well over two times that amount. Who knows, with that kind of dough, maybe even measures that “only” enjoy 56 percent support like bans on assault weapons and/or high-capacity magazines could pass via direct voting by uncorrupted American citizens. Or perhaps state legislators and members of Congress who bend easily to the will of these Lords of War could be swapped out for those who live in a closer neighborhood to the best interests of the American populace."

LOL WHAT?!?! What a load of left wing bull plop. This guy is moon bat.

you know where their fatal flaw is? The more they try to ban firearms, the more Americans rush out to buy them. They’re just fueling the industry and adding fresh recruits to our ranks. they really are the primary reason that the AR15 enjoys such immense popularity. Assault weapons have always been around but they were never this popular. that really didn’t start until Clintoon’s 1994 AWB and then, once Obama started his shiite, sales just went through the roof. If there are more people owning them, there are more people with an interest in any legislation pertaining to them. High cap semi-autos are kind of the same story. They’re creating the market and the industry is just happily filling the increased demand. The result is more new gun owners with an interest in preserving their right to own their weapon. At the rate their going, pretty soon, you won’t be able to walk down the street without tripping over an assault rifle or high capacity magazine. There will be more guns per square mile in America than in Iraq or Afghanistan.
