I must say that I really enjoyed “A Mote In God’s Eye.” It would make a great movie!. It was just fun!

I think of the two Pournelle-Niven I read, I preferred Lucifer's Hammer about 1/4 star more...

I wonder why none of Larry Niven’s stuff ever made it to film (AFAIK). He has so much great material: Ringworld, The Mote in God’s Eye, and his Known Space series are all fun adventure stories that are very visual with really cool aliens.

I’d love to see a movie about any of those stories than the next tired retread of Star Wars VII or Star Trek XI or whatever.
