It seems it’s common for guys to just assume their mother will take care of the dog.

His first and second wives and two kids took care of the doggy chores when he was recruiting for the Army, but since his divorce, he has had no pets.

His second wife is a groomer, but she has dysfunctional animals and I’m not into correcting someone else’s mistakes. However, he doesn’t want to listen to me on the training aspect, even though that’s what I’ve done in the past.

Go figger.

If my kids had taken that attitude, the dogs would have all died in puppyhood.

It's fortunate the dogs were always my dogs. Mrs. SM is not a critter person. She constantly displays her wonderfulosityness in many other ways.

We did have a pair of hamsters die after Ichi decided to give them a bath in the bathtub. Apparently hamsters don't bathe well.
