Jobless Rate 6.1% (Bring back American jobs)
9/5/14 | (frustrated rant)

The unemployment rate has (once again) disappointed.

The problem people, is that America continues to export jobs.

Not goods. Jobs.

Does anyone actually believe the unemployment rate is 6.1%?

************

The actual rate is double that number. The country is led by a pack of liars and manipulators.

After 5 and a half years after the end of the recession, we still cont to have slow growth.

Reform the tax code and repealling Obamacare would be a good start

There were never 155 million full time jobs. There were never 155 million jobs.

Peak full-time was 121,875K in November 2007. There are now more non-farm payrolls than ever (139,118K).

I certainly don't dismiss your conclusions but want to make sure you have the numbers right,

U6 is the “closest” to a “real” number and it was reported at 12.0% today so your 2x is about right.

I would add that the excessive and ever increasing regulatory environment is also onerous on business and a big negative they have to contend with.

Government needs to get off the backs of the people and businesses.

Absolutely. I've been beating that drum for years.

How about the quality of the jobs.

They never talk about that either.

all those charts are predicated on incorrect numbers

they no longer count able bodied people, 18-65, as potentially employable. just those trying to get unemployment

That’s brilliant and would allow a second means of savings for many people. Keep in mind that local zoning ordinances often make health decisions difficult and more expensive.

Imagine what is called in Chicago an SRO (single room occupancy) home. This would allow people to stay in their communities and rent out a single room to someone. They then could receive care from the owner. Most of our health care costs occur at the end of life. Reducing those costs is critical.

The next President would simply roll back the regulatory environment to pre-Obama levels and the economy would come roaring back. Start there and keep chopping. Better yet, simply reign these departments in by forcing new decisions through Congress and granting broad discretion for property rights.

The problems would resolve themselves in a few years.

One of the unspoken/unwritten aspects to this recovery is all the sneaky Keynesian (Pity the genius’ name is now mud) approaches the Obama administration has taken to put money into the economy - Solyndra loans and the like - but the quietest one is the number of “able bodied” people now classified as disabled and living off of SSI.

It’s saving Democrat-run urban areas the riots they deserve. Most unemployment is home-grown via licensing, permitting and regulatory schemes that reward insiders and punish outsiders. TTIRL* the poor are outsiders, as are most citizens.
