I have a prayer request. I am having cancer surgery on Sept 16. Less than two weeks away. I'm having a mastectomy, with reconstruction. It all gets done (or at least started) on the table. Please pray for my fear, which is usually at the manageable level. And that I make it through surgery. I'll be in the hospital for one day. I opted to stay with my surgical oncologist that operated on me two years ago (cancer then too) for many reasons, one being he's THE breast cancer surgeon in Middle GA. Trouble is, after I was diagnosed, I've moved and he's now a bit more than an hour away. Still, I need to stay with him. I just couldn't trust anyone else. Also there's an excellent, skilled plastic surgeon down there that I will have. I don't know how I'll get back and forth afterwards, for the further work on reconstruction, but I will just have to find a way. Thank you for your prayers, my FRiends Shimmer

I have a beloved kitty. Ollie. He’s a Ragdoll cat, so he is colored like a Siamese, but long, rabbit soft fur.
I’ve hired a little boy in the neighborhood to come in and change the kitty litter every day, since I can’t get down that low yet.
I don’t see the middle part, that’s leading to chemo. Maybe I didn’t send it, maybe I just didn’t see it this morning. Let me add this to all, although I’m addressing it to just a couple.
I had my surgery and when the path report came in, my innocuous little stage 0, non invasive, DCIS cancer had turned into a stage 3, invasive, triple negative monster that had gone into my lymph nodes. In 3 months!
That’s sort of the best to the worst.
A subsequent PET scan showed it had not spread, but they want to kill every stray cancer cell of this one. So...chemo. No radiation, you only get that once and I’ve had it. (both my cancers were in the same breast)
I saw a funny t-shirt the other day, see my tagline. Maybe I’ve got a morbid sense of humor, I don’t know.
The one in the picture may be a “snowshoe”: he has some white blotches. One of my mother’s friends has one. The loud Siamese voice is obvious.

I am. No one has told me I can’t change kitty litter, and anyway, I use those little bags. Just gather it up and throw it away. Or rather, little Eli does.
It’s good for little Eli (that’s also the name of Frank’s friend) to learn that taking care of a pet has to be done every day.
...and to make a little bit of money each week. :D Eli is 7. He’s such a caring, sweet, SINCERE little boy!
I told him NOT to talk to me about spiders, but he can’t stop talking. So I went outside on the steps and he’s telling me he killed one right “there” I said “Eli!!!! don’t even say that!” hahaha
And then he’s telling me how he wants to save up and buy my fish tank. If I am alive when.....
I said “ELI!!! I’m not planning on dying!!”
He means well.
You know, you never finished your kids’ little bios for me. Do you need to know where you stopped??
I remember, I stopped before James. I will have to do the rest.
But now I have to get the teens and Kathleen up. All four byos arrived because we had cinnamon rolls available for breakfast ;-).

I have lifted you up shimmer! Please go to www.breastcancerchoices.org for incredible alternative treatments. The main treatment for breast issues/cancer is iodine and we’re all deficient in it.
