Several people in my area have noted that their pets are acting weird. The behavior usually amounts to staring out windows and doors whining and shivering and hiding under tables and other furniture etc. .
Or if they are outside they badly want inside even though they never do much any other time.
They also keep tails tucked and sort of slink around like they are in distress.
This is not one or two people but my count has over 20 different households within a ten mile radius that have pets acting in the same way for about 3 days now.
My dog can not seem to settle down and wants to be as close as he can get to me and the Missus. Some thought it is the festival in town but it just set up Yesterday and the behavior has been going on longer than that. And we had no such behavior last year reported.
We are all at a loss and the local vet has no idea but he tells us dogs and cats can sense stuff humans can't.
I’ve heard Ritalin works great for dogs!
We had a rabid bobcat in our area recently. Don’t know if animals can sense that. Rabid animals are something to be scared of. They’re nuts.
Haha, Years back we had a bunch of stray cats in our neighborhood. A Chinese restaurant opened up not 2 blocks away and they were all gone within a week.
I bet someone is blowing a dog whistle nearby.
ah....high frequency noise, perhaps.
You wouldn’t hear it.
Illegal immigrant couple owned a few pit bulls that liked to attack passers-by. Killed one guy, munched on a few others. One of the victims said the owners of the dogs came running towards them yelling "no call cops! no call cops! I pay!"
They are in jail right now awaiting trial on 2nd degree murder charges...(apparently somebody "call cops")
You forgot UFOs on your list.
Are they blasting in your area? Our dog was under some stress when blasting in area. He could hear noises we could not.
My primary thought too, but then again, if there is waste injection or fracking going on, it could be causing low level seismicity that could keep them on edge...

2009 Earthquake Probability Mapping
http://geohazards.usgs.gov/eqprob/2009/index.php
Earthquakes are known to generate electromagnetic fields and some odors resulting from the piezoelectric properties of the crystals in the minerals in the ground. They then couple with the atmospheric weather system and the Earth’s geomagnetic field. Many animals can feel these electromagnetic fields and some can smell the change in odors.
Another possibility has been some Solar storms and a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) event on the Farside of the Sun as of yesterday.
According to sponsors of popular media broadcasts, the end is near. Maybe it’s going to rain cats and dogs.
;-)
No fracking nearby I know of. It would be big news around here if such was happening because it would mean some jobs came into the area and that does not happen much around here.
I watched that happen with a dog and some cats hours before a tornado hit.
And keep a gun handy.
Thanks for the link and I get 0.00 probability for 1 year time span
It’s probably Chupacabras, my dogs hate it when they
are around. Sometimes they lock themselves in the bathroom.
Or, it could be Haints they are even harder to spot
but dogs can see’um good.

Good documentary about the New Madrid quakes back in 1811 and 1812.
