If you did what did you think?
I see bounties on the heads of conservatives in that future.
It would take an act of Congress for the appropriation.
This is the one way to enforce the law that does not enlarge a police state. Is that your preference?
Dittos....
Trying to sound like UKIP with no intention of implementing UKIP policies if Cameron retains power....
ISIS is the fault of Assad? LOL.
Assad has been at war with ISIS. Obama and McCain have been arming them.
He realizes it is time to start looking more conservative again before the next election.
I’ve watched a lot of Republican legislators-governors pass tough laws for election time just to see the courts have the final say.
I suspect the EU and or UK judges will have final say on these laws but what matters for Cameron is credit for passing the laws ahead of the election so he can win grassroots support and the election.
The fake conservative politician will get the credit for the law at election time without worrying about its implementation because the courts will do the dirty work and the fake conservative will say he was to abide by the courts after the election.
Exactly!
“It would take an act of Congress for the appropriation.”
How much confidence do you have in our Congress?
And how Obama and liberal appointed judges work around legislation?
And how the powers that be redefine the language to suit their agenda? People that think like we do have been defined already as potential domestic terrorists.
“This is the one way to enforce the law that does not enlarge a police state. Is that your preference?”
Because you have not found other alternatives besides citizens policing up terrorists or an enlarged police state there is no other solution? And if I don’t agree with your bounty system I choose an enlarged police state?
I can’t argue with with that kind of thinking.
More than in DHS.
And how Obama and liberal appointed judges work around legislation? And how the powers that be redefine the language to suit their agenda? People that think like we do have been defined already as potential domestic terrorists.
I can dream up things to worry about too. The real question is: Which do you want rounding up "terrorists," DHS or a national militia subject to heavy penalties for false arrest?
I cant argue with with that kind of thinking.
Apparently. I suggest you re-read the Second Amendment and ask yourself what would be the purpose of said "well regulated militia." If you think it only the National Guard, then you've got it wrong both historically and politically.
I guess I’ll argue after all, in that I believe your bounty system will only increase the police state, as that bounty will end up being a “turn your neighbor in” program that will be rewarding for the non-militia types to be snitches on those of us who may have disagreement with the current administration. Good intentions initiate the program and it becomes extended by do-gooder liberals and others until there is a price on my head.
If you think it’s a good idea, or the only alternative to our doom in a police state that we both know is ever encroaching, get the movement started.
We already have said "enlarged police state." For the first 100 years of this country's history, there were virtually no police.
I suggest you go back to two documents and reread them, you know, the one that says "we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor" and the other said "We, the people." Just who do you think was was that "we" to which the Founders referred?
When it came to policing, it was the militia. When it came to the militia, that was all able bodied males 18-45 years of age.
So there you go.
If that's where you are then you have no country, because you have no faith in due process to punish for false arrest.
So when are you heading up this movement toward your proposed program?
When I get Congress to use it to round up illegal aliens. ;-)
It'll be a long time, but it's useful to remind people what self-government once meant.
I concur.
