The 2013 version of The Grate Gatsby is set in 1922 yet features scenes in which the characters dance to modern-day disco music.

First of all, let me just admit outright that I live in a complete bubble... 2 weeks ago I was flipping through the radio dial and stopped at this really interesting song on some pop station... turns out it was Summertime Sadness. First time I ever heard this song... like YEARS after it was recorded.

I like the song.

She has a long way to go to beat the creepiness of the Garbage (band) music video for The World Is Not Enough, featuring their lead singer Shirley Manson.

You’ll be happy to hear this, Perdogg.

My son has a Social Studies project — make your own island (with lat/long, compass stuff, etc.) and to place 15 land forms in it. He created an island in the shape of 007 — and he has 15 land forms named after Bond films & characters [i.e. Skyfall Mountain, M’s Mesa, Miss Moneypenny Cape, etc.]

I had a fantastic time helping him — this is right up my alley!

Geography + 007 = LOVE!
