Dubliners not accustomed to the sound of Freedom apparently. The comments on this article are stunning. This is a country ready to go out on it's own? Yeah...
Nice job PSU and UCF fans, and a great job by Sam Ficken for saving the day.
I’m on the direct flyover zone. Jets are sometimes just minutes apart when they practice touch and goes. I can tell you that while they are loud not one has ever done the silly things this person is ranting about to my home or our area.
Set off a car alarm? Please. That’s hyperbole from an unadulterated whiny lefty.
What the hell are we doing wasting taxpayer on this show of support for college football, which is one of the most corrupt institutions in our society?
very frightening experience.
Wimp.
I weep I tell ya for my ancestral peeps... As me late grandparents would have said “aye, the strong stock left the weak ones stayed behind...”
Two American fighter jets flew over Dublin today and it was very VERY LOUD which drove out all the snakes into the sea.
there fixed it.
Home of the Titanic.and the current p resident ¿
F-16’s.
Rgr. The sound of freedom and many thank you’s to them from many on the ground over the last 20+ years.
ODA 525 comes to mind from a long time ago....
Just sayin’ and just a skytruck driver
I love flyovers. I love seeing fighter jets in the sky.
Memorial Day festivities in Central New York includes a flyover of many of the villages. I cannot tell you how much I looked forward to that when we lived in Syracuse.
I have family near Warner Robins, Ga. A visit used to be good for seeing several fighter jets overhead and hearing a few sonic booms. Not any more.
It is the sight and sound of freedom. When I see a fighter jet in the sky, I am reminded of those who protect us. As in “We’ve got your back!”

It’s the sound of Freedom!
Heh, I don’t live too far away from Warton in Lancashire, where they fly Hawks, Tornados and Eurofighters all the time. I consider it a privilege. Hopefully see them flying that Taranis drone in a few years too.
So in Dublin is the dominant language spoken German or Russian, or English?
-You’re welcome!
I they there to take out IRA targets?
Know this: Not everyone in Ireland has the wimp liberal gurly mahn disease!
No kidding - not used to the sounds of Freedom. They fly over us, here in LA, often. No biggee.
Pffft. Pikers.
Loud is the sound of a B1 Lancer at takeoff with full afterburner.
In the right conditions it will echo for 15 miles.
A couple days after 9/11 I was walking the dogs after dark. No planes were flying yet. 2 fighters (I presume) went overhead from north to south, probably heading towards New York. They were on afterburners and it was one of the loudest things I have ever heard.
I guess Obama figures he can keep those Dubliners in line...
I love that sound.
When I was a kid, the Blue Angels were around, and one flew right over my house, couldn’t have been at any more than 50 feet.
Yeah!
