There are probably a few movies of course that is as good as better than the original (like True Grit?)

I don't agree with the author's conclusion on True Grit. IMHO, the original wiht John Wayne was much better than the remake a few years ago. I liked Glen Campbell in the original better, too. I can't explain it, I just do.

If this counts, I would love to see a faithful movie adaptation of John Christopher’s Tripods trilogy. Disney has the rights. The TV series was never completed. Light CGI would work well with this.

“Guys and Dolls.” It’s a great musical, a real classic, and Marlon Brando single-handedly put it in the toilet. It would be fun to see Hugh Jackman as Sky Masterson. :)

Alien...... The sets look cheezy today, Surely this movie could be done better with Michelle Rodriquez as Ripley. And the original is racist with the only black (Yaphette Kotto) being a grunt instead or running the show
