What movie would you like to see redone?
Posted on 08/23/2014 7:57:56 PM PDT by MNDude
Most people will always say that a movie that has been redone never should have been redone (the older someone is, the more they are apt to feel that way too). There are probably a few movies of course that is as good as better than the original (like True Grit?). There are also a few movies that might be nice to see remade if the original has a nice concept but was horribly directed or some movies might serve better updated for the times. What movie(s) would you like to see redone?

The entire Star Wars Prequel movies.
Get rid of the ‘yippee!’ 9-year-old kid that was immaculately conceived, nix Jar Jar and start with something along the lines of Episode II Attack of the Clones and end with Vader exterminating Jedi for the Emperor and establishing the Empire as the big bad in the Galaxy.

You will all want to see the Batman and Superman movies redone after you see me in Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice to be released in March, 2016.

The Island?
Just saw that last night, which itself seemed to be a version of Logan’s Run.
There could have been more Scarlet.

None. Remakes are a bad idea. I have seen remakes of King Kong, Godzilla, Manchurian Candidate, Rollerball, and a host of others that were a waste of time.
Think of something new.

I would like to see Starship Troopers redone using a director who doesn’t abhor Heinlen and the book. Something which actually addressed the topics it was about rather than just mocking them while putting a crappy T&A + action movie in their stead.
